My Project

My project will benefit my students in a special education classroom by providing essential resources that address their unique needs. One way to enhance learning is by incorporating flexible seating and sensory supports into the classroom environment. Flexible seating options, such as wobble stools, bean bag chairs, or standing desks, allow students to choose seating arrangements that work best for their learning styles and physical comfort, fostering greater focus and engagement. Sensory supports, like fidget tools, weighted blankets, noise-canceling headphones, and sensory paths, can help students regulate their emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve concentration. These tools create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment, enabling students to feel comfortable and confident as they engage in their educational experiences. By customizing the classroom with these resources, the project will not only address the diverse sensory and movement needs of the students but also promote equity, independence, and success in their educational journey.
