Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The purchase of this sound system mixer will help our school go from productions that run off of makeshift (hand-me-down) equipment to an intentional production system that will allow for greater quality of sound and lighting as well as instruction for students who will be learning how to operate our system.

Not only will we be able to have an A/V system that highlights the gifts and talents of our students, it will produce learning opportunities for them as well.

We have been able to teach students how to run a sound board, lighting, and incorporate additional tech, however, it's been in scattered platforms. Synchronizing our system to operate in a way that is cohesive and seamless will further advance our programming of the arts as well as draw interest in student leadership around the amazing ways they can pursue A/V in the future for careers.

As a Title 1 school, we tend to lack funding for the arts but know this is something that helps our students thrive. The opportunity to provide this platform will help increase student engagement, student leadership, and heightened attendance.
