My Project

Our new art class was a success this past semester! The word has gone out and a whole group of new students have registered for art as their elective for their second semester here in seventh grade at Ilima Intermediate! I want to provide each and every student with the tools that they need to create the most amazing creative projects for the second semester! My students will love painting with fresh watercolor paint sets. Creating 3D mixed media builds with hot glue for our glue guns. Daily we journal with crayons and colored markers so these will be very well loved and used up. The art room is a clean and inviting environment that has become a safe space for everyone who wants to fit in and for the students to spend time creating art and friendships with like-minded peers. To keep our space clean, the gloves and Clorox wipes are necessary! Our art sinks are well worn and the drying racks will keep things more organized and allow us to better care for our painting tools. Lastly, proper hand washing for over 145 students means we go through soap like crazy! With your support, we can keep this wonderful, creative dream alive and continue moving forward with inspiring projects for all of our students. I can’t do it myself and I need your help so thank you in advance for giving to such amazing children here in Ewa Beach, Hawai’i!
