Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an extraordinary group of middle school students in the Bronx. I believe that my students, and all students, have so much potential and I want to use that to enhance their future both inside and out of education. My students are very diverse, both in their variety of cultures, their needs and their learning styles, which makes my job the best in the world.

My students constantly keep me on my toes, and their curious minds teach me something new every day.

Most of my students are living in poverty, have insecure housing, or are either immigrants or first-generation Americans. Most of my students have experienced trauma in their lives and all of my students are exceptional individuals who show up each and every day, ready to learn.

My Project

This year I will be teaching the Living Environment Regents curriculum (New York) for the first time. I want to ensure that I have access to materials and resources from Teachers Pay Teachers throughout this new adventure. I am so excited to be teaching a new science content area, however I have gathered six years of resources for other science content! A new school year always comes with new surprises.

I have requested a Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift card so I can purchase resources on TPT that I can use for homework, extra support, and reinforcement.
