My Project

We made it through a complete year during a pandemic and now are ready to begin a new year. Each year, students enter kindergarten not quite knowing what to expect but welcome the challenge.

Help us start the new school year with brand new carpets for whole group and for our library area.

The large carpet is essential in our classroom. It is where we gather each morning before beginning the day. We introduce ourselves, get to know each other, discuss and practice SEL (social emotional learning), and share our feelings, and learn new things each day.

The smaller rug and storage bins will give our classroom library a new look. Books will be sorted by topic and favorites, like many of the ones included in this project, as well as by reading level. The smaller rug will provide a comfy lounge area for students to browse books and read to their heart's content.

The organizers and colored pencils will be used in the writing area. Students will be able to choose which materials to use when writing and drawing.
