Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a fourth-grade inclusion class that has both general and special education students. I love my students and teaching fourth grade. I teach reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I especially love teaching reading and writing each year. I love when my students enjoy reading and I love to read everything they write.

In our classroom, we are a family.

We support each other and love to work together. My students work very hard and are excited when they reach a goal.

My Project

Many of my incoming students have been learning remotely since March 2020 due to COVID. September will be their first time back to the school building and classroom in person.

I want to do everything I can to help my students feel safe and supported in our classroom daily.

I chose materials to decorate the classroom, keep them motivated for success, help them with meeting their goals, and have some fun. This past year, students were not allowed outside for recess and it was boring, so I chose fun games and activities so they can play and do something other than going on their devices during recess and lunch.
