My Project

In my typical day, I see about 150 students. I teach an Advanced Placement Psychology class and Advanced Placement African American Studies Course. This next year I will be in a newly renovated room. I would love to make my space (my classroom) an area that is warm and inviting; and safe. A space that students can learn in that they can also be proud of every day and for the rest of their lives.

I work in a Title I High School environment and and interact with all grade levels in my classroom.

A majority of the students that I interact with are low-income students who deserve a classroom that can provide them with all types of different learning opportunities. Right now I love coming to my classroom every day. I love everything about learning and teaching; however, my students do have barriers to their learning. I want my classroom to be a place where students can come and leave all the other stuff at the door and focus on content.

A classroom that is in order=less chaos=happy teacher=happy students!

In my Social Sciences classroom, I want them to be able to step into their partners' shoes (through discussions) and explore the world through someone else's lens.
