My Project

This year, I am moving to a new school in a new classroom to teach third grade. At this age, it is so important to be able to bring students close together to learn and share. Unfortunately, there is no rug space for students to gather on in this new space.

My students and I are in need of new classroom rugs to use for our whole group reading and math lessons.

The smaller rug will be placed at our classroom library for students to sit on when they are independent and partner reading. The two larger rugs will create a space in front of our board where we can hold morning meetings, enjoy read alouds, and have whole group math and reading lessons. Both new spaces will provide students a comfortable place to collaborate during small group or partner times. By having these new rugs, I will provide a clean environment for my students at the start of our new year together. Thank you for taking the time to read about my project!
