My Project

My students are amazing and really make my job such a great place to be every day! The respect they have for the musical arts is profound and I can really depend on them to do what they need to do to prepare for our performances and they have always come through with great performances that make me so proud!

Our current classroom xylophone is an old intermediate-level instrument that is old and worn out.

After years of wonderful use from our old xylophone, it has lost its charm from regular travel to and from the stage, going on trips, being played outside in the sun for festivals and regular wear-and-tear from energetic students. Some individual padauk bars on the old xylophone have warped enough to be out of tune, and individual bars are very difficult to acquire. Most stores only offer rows of bars for replacement if they offer replacement parts at all.

A new professional xylophone is exactly what our classroom needs, and to be honest, it is exactly what my percussion students deserve with all the hard work they have been putting in. The rest of the band students and audience members will also be able to enjoy the beautiful sounds of a new professional xylophone.
