Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My high school is a high needs school located in New York City. My school is in dire need of new resources.

Recent budget cuts have tied our hands from purchasing new books which interest our students. My students are finally into reading after months of trying to inspire them to read but we have exhausted all the titles the school owns.

You can help and allow us to purchase this title. Students have read other titles by Walter Dean Myers and love his work. This novel will also target our predominantly male student population. Fallen Angels teaches of the horrors of war. This book will prepare my students for college as they will build a vocabulary that will prepare them for college.

You and only you can make the difference and undo what budget cuts have done. We strive to inspire kids to read but once they are into it we have to stop them because we cant afford the books. Please help fund this project and help save my students quest to learn.
