This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students want to read two plays and give a school wide presentation to show the importance of reading in school.

ABC Family is looking to fund projects that are student led.

My students are in the process of wanting to read The Pearl and the Pact. These two novels will open my students to new authors and allow them to take a leadership role when they present these plays to the school population. Without these novels, they will be unable to lead the way on the importance of reading.

My Project

We are a high needs school where a large majority of our students qualify for free lunch. This project will give them the opportunity to read, be proud of what they read, and inspire fellow classmates to read different classics like the titles I am requesting-the Pact and the Pearl.
