My Project

I am thrilled to launch a music program that will open new avenues for expression and creativity for my high school students with autism. Music has the unique ability to engage students in ways that traditional communication often cannot, particularly for those who are non-verbal or face challenges in expressing themselves. The instruments and materials I’m seeking—auxiliary instruments, Boomwhackers, a rug for movement, and percussion instruments—are essential to creating an inclusive and dynamic music experience. Currently, my classroom has only basic furniture, and starting from scratch means we lack the tools needed to explore the joy of music.

The potential of a music program is transformative for my students, providing them with a unique outlet for expression and connection.

By providing these instruments, we can facilitate collaborative music-making experiences that enhance communication, build confidence, and foster social interaction. With your support, we can create a vibrant musical community where my students can express themselves freely, learn to work together, and celebrate their achievements. Together, we can make music a powerful tool for connection and growth in their lives.
