Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a new Autism Spectrum Disorder PreK unit in a low income neighborhood. This unit opened up last year and is one of a kind in this area. We have been given some new materials to start working with the children but it is not enough things to keep them all engaged for an entire school year. As the teacher I have been creating my own games and projects, that assist these autistic and non verbal children learn new concepts and words. However, we still need more things to help the children keep growing. These new games would help them understand sorting and would help them learn to speak by possibly imitating what the games do.

New materials in this new unit would really help these ASD children in ways you cant even imagine!

These children are very bright and learn very quickly!
