My Project

MA is a small rural town of 600 people. Our school is a charter school that has a student body largely made up of low income students. Most of these kids will never have the opportunity to experience a Makerspace. This space will allow the students to have hands on experience with new technology, such as 3d printing, using a laser, operating various tools (both electric and hand powered), soldering, small electronics, and so much more. By expanding the student's knowledge base and skill sets, we are empowering them for the future. It is our goal to try and bring this opportunity to our school and open up the endless possibilities that come with being able to create, build, and make.

Makerspaces are invaluable to the development of critical thinking, logic, and creativity, especially in low income students.

Any support you can give will be GREATLY appreciated.
