This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

PART 2: Our 7th graders in Whitman advisory love to read! They are an incredibly resilient and curious group of young people who have been through so much since the start of the pandemic. They have been in a virtual learning setting since August and will remain virtual until the end of the school year due to the spread of Covid19 in our area. Our students have been reading about current events during our reading intervention time, but have expressed wanting to read a novel together as a class. They love the idea of having their discussions about the book be in the form of a book club!

My Project

PART 2: Our first book project was fully funded thanks to the support of our generous donors. We do have 9 new students and need to make sure that they also receive their own copy of the book. We would like to use our donors gift card donations to cover the cost of these supplies. We also would love to throw in a book mark for them so that they can track their reading progress and pick up right where they left off! Thank you again for the support from our donors! We appreciate you!
