Help me give my students clean and disinfected folders to use this new academic year. My students will use these folders in class and at home for Math, Reading, Writing and Science differentiated assignments and projects!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The Coronavirus Pandemic has had a great effect on my students and I. From one day to the other, education completely changed and we didn't get to say a proper good-bye. Through Zoom we were able to reconnect and share our thoughts and emotions. We continued the progression and continuity of learning by teaching whole group lessons for math, reading, writing, science, and physical education. I also met with my students to provide differentiated small group instruction for math and reading group. Teaching them at their level was vital for me in order to help them continue improving. As we prepare for next year and what that will look like, I realize that I need new organizational items for each student.
My Project
I am requesting new folders that my students will use to organize their work and differentiated assignments for Reading, Writing, Math and Science. These folders will be used both in the classroom and at home when we start school in the fall. It seems that we will have a Blended Learning or Hybrid program, where some days we will have face-to-face class and others will be virtual . These folders will be essential in helping my students keep their assignments organized and in a safe location. I plan on having every student use 4 different colored folders, one for each of the content areas. It will make sending work home easier because there is a home sleeve and school sleeve inside the folder. I will also be able to have the students use these folders during small group instruction in class. They are very easy to clean and keep sanitized, which is vital during these times.
These folders will help my students stay healthy and will help them organize their independent and differentiated work in Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Science in a safe manner, when we return in the fall.
