Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The community that my students come from is very much based around the school community. This helps keep everyone involved in the learning process. Since many of my students receive bagged food on the weekends and above 98% of students receive free lunch, we try to hold breakfasts and lunches at the school to get that table time feeling that a lot may not get. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. The students in my classroom are always ready to learn. As we start off the new year I want to make sure that the supports that are needed for them are in place right away so that we are able to move all students to benchmark and start off running.

These students are the future of America and each of them deserve the best opportunities to learn.

Most students are non-English speaking and come from many different countries. This diversity is what makes our classroom so special and gives new learning experiences to each other. These students really do deserve to achieve their highest goals next year and I believe we can go above and beyond!

My Project

The donations will make a difference in these first grade learners lives by being able to use multi-sensory learning in the classroom. The students should be able to learn through auditory, visual, and oral learning. By getting this easel in the classroom I will be able to use these senses to teach the students to their greatest abilities!

This classroom is very bare of books, audio tapes/headphones, and visual boards (white boards, easel, bulletin boards, etc.).

This easel is what is needed to help gain that attention and turn this room into an adventure for these students. So with your help I am hoping that by September we are able to have the classroom these students deserve!
