New Easels for High School Art Students

Help me give my students new easels so that their artwork can be displayed with pride during art shows.

My Project

The majority of the easels in the high school art classroom are marked "broken—save for parts." Unfortunately, many of them have the same broken parts. At our art show in the spring, our students and our student run Art Club proudly set up the show in our beautiful library but resorted to using many chairs to display the students' work because we did not have enough functioning easels. Many of our students are from low-income families and are familiar with making do with what they have, and they did not complain about using chairs from the library tables.

With new easels, our students can display their artwork proudly.

Our art shows are open to the community, and we appreciate their support of these students. The Hickman County Arts and Crafts Guild comes to the school to judge the show, and the best-of-show winner receives a scholarship from the organization. It would mean so much to the students to display their work more confidently to the HCACG and the community at large.

The easels that we are asking for are functional and sturdy while being lightweight and easy to set up. They can serve multiple purposes by being used for displaying artwork as well as being useful while students are painting.
