Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After 10 years, this year is my first year teaching the 4th, 5th, and 6th mainstream Autism Class.

My students are considered high functioning and can access the general curriculum with accommodations.

Most of the supplies will be used during small group activities. Paper trays and Organizer will be used for assignment submission routines. Pencil boxes will be used for their hands on Math and ELA tool kits. Composition books will be used as interactive notebooks for each subject and standing desk will be used as a podium for student presentations. This will allow students to put their laptops, wireless keyboard, and mouse on the standing desk and present next to the smartboard.

Our school is over 100 years old. It has long windows without blinds. On sunny days it can get hot in the classroom even with the air conditioning systems on. Curtains are meant to keep some heat out but still allow for natural light to go in.
