Help me give my students the supplies they need to be successful in the classroom. We need class sets of some items and other items to meet individual needs.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently teach third grade in an ICT classroom in New York City. The school is a title 1 school. The students come to school with many needs, both emotionally and educationally. Students come to school facing many challenges yet they are always ready to learn.
My students are funny, energetic, and love to collaborate.
In an ICT setting, we strive to make sure all of our students are able to thrive both socially and academically. We are dedicated to acceptance and learning.
My Project
One of the greatest struggles in a third grade classroom is keeping the students organized! By having student mailboxes, pencil pouches, seat sacks, and storage bins, we will be able to set our students up for success. These items will lead to more time on task and less time looking around for materials!
Being in an ICT class means our students have many individual needs.
Noise cancelling headphones and fidgets will help us address those needs to give all students the best chance to learn.
Keeping students engaged and on-task is hard! It would be so much easier with a class set of dry erase boards. The kids love showing their work on them!
