Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have asked our students what they would want to have in our classroom library to keep their reading stamina going as we transition to the second half of the year. Students have been hard at work reading their book club books that go along with our curriculum, but they would also like to read simply for the joy of it.

We would love to give the gift of reading to our students through books that motivate them to read.

We would also like to take this chance to purchase books about the Lunar New Year. As NYC students, they are in a melting pot of cultures and would like to expand their learning about the upcoming holiday.
