My Project

This project was created to get my students a brand new carpet to complete our classroom makeover.

The carpet is the heart of our classroom, where we learn, share stories, hold our morning meetings, play, read stories together, and do so much more!

This carpet will provide each student a spot to sit without having to worry about if someone else is in their spot. The smiley faces will give each student a place where they can sit to be their best learner. The students in my room love coming to the carpet. As mentioned before, the carpet is where we share our positive affirmations to start our day and hold our morning circle. In our morning circle, we ask a question and pass around a talking piece so everyone can share their answer - the students love this! We also have our math meeting, where we work through math slides and learn all about number sense and various math skills.
