This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love about my students is that they fight and deal with adversity every day and still come to school to try to better themselves and their families. Their drive and determination inspires me to be the best teacher in their lives.

This calm-down corner is a designated space in a classroom with the sole intent of being a safe space for a child to go to when they feel their emotions are running too high and they need to regain their emotional and physical control.

They need breaks throughout their day to help them achieve their full potential and be ready to learn.
