Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students last year developed a love for reading through April Henry’s suspenseful novel, The Girl Who was Supposed to Die. I want to provide my students with more of her books to continue their enthusiasm towards reading. Additionally, I want to update my library with more novels that showcase the identities in my room. We have just wrapped up our research projects on inspiring Latinx individuals and these books will allow for students to do more research. Additionally, with our growing bilingual population, it’s important the library reflects more books in Spanish.
