My Project

We are following Wendy Ewald's framework of teaching literacy skills through photography. Our students have a range of abilities including using their communication devices and their preferred modes of communication whether it be sign language, verbal or gestures and pointing. The students have various literacy skill levels beginning with emerging skills.

Students create photographs in class and these supplies will allow them to engage in literacy skill building.

They will be able to learn about what other authors, educators and students are doing to create book projects and junk journals. This opportunity will allow them a new approach for self-expression.
