My students are fighters! Most come from home situations that have caring parents, but they are parents that are trying to help their families survive in a new country. Covid-19 has been very detrimental to their learning process because, oftentimes, a parent wasn't able to be around to help their child stay engaged in tech learning.
My Project
I am lucky enough to teach a subject that is always helping students socially and emotionally. I also teach a subject that has taken a great hit during Covid-19 with many professionals in the medical profession warning of the dangers of singing.
I am excited to get back with my students and read about the many different peoples who have made gorgeous music in this world, and, of course, make some ourselves!
I also want to show my students that many people that look like them have made beautiful music.
