This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I recently moved to a new district and am very eager to try something new. In my twenty-five years of teaching, I've never had the opportunity to utilize flexible seating due to the limited space of my classrooms.
Flexible seating improves focus, engagement, and collaboration among students.
It gives students the chance to get out of their seats for a little while, continue learning, and be comfortable while doing it. I am really excited to have an inviting space in our room to help better engage my students and be excited about their learning journey.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
