My Students

Hello! My name is Michael DelNegro and I am an adaptive physical education teacher at P79M, The Dr. Edmund Horan School, in East Harlem, NY. P79M is part of District 75 within the New York City Board of Education. District 75 provides citywide educational, vocational, and behavior support programs for students who are on the autism spectrum, have significant cognitive delays, are severely emotionally challenged, are sensory impaired, and/or have multiple disabilities.

We are starting a basketball team this upcoming school year and are in much need of equipment.

Our current equipment is old, worn, torn, and broken. To see that our students have a wonderful experience and are properly equipped, we are asking for your help!

My Project

The equipment at our school is, let's see what's the proper word... ancient I suppose. Most of the basketballs are torn, ripped, or just old! These donations will decide whether or not we can actually start a basketball team at our school. As of right now, we do not have the resources in order to move forward in starting a basketball team.

These resources are essential for not only the start up of our basketball team, but for the improvement of our skills as well.

We are literally starting from the bottom and working our way up. Please help us get to the top!
