My Project
I am relocating to a new state and district.
The items requested are things students should have easy access to in order to be successful.
I am going to a low performing high growth school. In order to keep up with the academic trend, I feel these basic supplies will help students gain confidence.
These things are considered ‘cool’ to some students. I want to assign jobs and give more hands on items so they can be in charge of their learning. When a student doesn’t feel defeated I can get more from them. By laminating handouts, it will be more sturdy and students can use dry erase markers when needed.
The pencil bags will have supplies for students in them. That way, there will be no extra stress for students who may have forgotten a pencil that day or students who don’t have a pencil eraser. That will all be in the pencil bag.
It will also cut down on classroom instruction being used because all supplies will be readily available to students.
