My Project

I work primarily with 3- and 4-year-olds in specialized classes for Autistic learners. These students are nested in a large community school, where the environment can often be overstimulating for their developing sensory systems. As an Occupational Therapist, I can help to keep them calm, regulated, and ready to learn.

Working with neurodiverse students means it is my job to find ways to make sure their school environment is conducive to the way their brains process the world.

For most of my students, this is their first time in a classroom setting, and their sensory systems are often in overload.

My students are so easy to love, and I want to do everything I can to provide them with all the tools they need to make their school experience positive and meaningful.
