My Project

We are in year two of the Nene Cafe Coffee Cart at our elementary school. The Nene Cafe is run by our students with special needs and it gives them the opportunity to practice skills such as communication, problem-solving, money management, and customer service in a fun and interactive way. Our students prep, make, and deliver a variety of drinks to our staff on campus once a week.

This school year, along with the Nene Cafe, we also opened the Nene Snack Shop where staff can stop by and purchase items such as chips, cookies, juice or soda.

The staff truly enjoy seeing our students work and have said it’s the best part of their week. We are requesting necessary supplies such as a hot and cold cups, coffee pods, and flavored syrups to refill our supplies and be ready for the next school year.

Your donation will help provide the supplies needed to keep the Nene Cafe open for business for the remainder of this school year and hopefully for years to come. We hope to be able to expand our menu next year. Our students have enjoyed this project and it's great to see them truly excited to learn.
