My name is Ms. E and I am a PreK-2nd grade music teacher in an elementary school in Ferguson, MO. This is my first year teaching as well as my first year in our school district. My school is a Title I school where we educate students that are in low-income family situations and some with rough home lives.
As the music teacher, my goal for my classroom is to have improved seating.
Currently I am using foam squares that piece together, however, they are falling apart. With as much movement I do with my students and the activities, the squares are constantly coming apart and tearing up.
My goal for the next school year is to have long-lasting seating for the music room that will benefit the safety of students and reduce classroom transitions/management from the seating squares currently.
