Being in the Vietnamese Dual Language Program my students come from a diverse background. I have just as many students learning Vietnamese that are learning English. My students are very "hands-on" and want to learn everything they can!
Our school is very family and community oriented and welcomes all cultures and languages.
The students are very engaged in many cultural events within the school and evening hours.
Many of our school practices includes teaching within technology. Many of our classrooms share technology devices that are out of date or does not have the storage space to hold those programs that the students use to enrich their learning.
My Project
Many days my students need to get onto technology to complete assignments or educational programs. Often we do not have enough of these devices to spread among the students in a grade level.
By providing enough reliable devices, it will increase work time availability and shorten wasted time to insufficient devices.
I would like to provide enough devices to my whole class of 24, but a few devices could be a great start!
These devices would need to be able to grow with new programs and application. I have chosen these particular devices because of this reason. Helping to grow minds and expand the knowledge of our high tech world is very important to learn early in school. I can provide this learning with applications of keyboarding and research.
