My Project

We are a neighborhood and immersion school. We have a Native language immersion program. All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are located near a joint military base with many students coming from military families. Our school is culturally diverse with many different languages spoken and as many cultures represented. With our geographic location and high cost of living, we face many challenges others don't.

When you decide to start a school newspaper and you realize that you do not have all of the supplies that you need in order to be successful you try to get them.

We are asking for three digital cameras to take photographs for our newspaper. A card reader to easily transfer pictures from our cameras to the computer. A multiport dongle to be able to print proofs so we can review our work and also make a typeset copy for mass printing. We need an industrial automatic 3 hole punch to keep drafts and facts and interview notes all organized, which is why we need the binders to keep information for each section in order and final editions in a separate more permanent location. Finally we need wireless mice to be easily able to manipulate our typing and article layout without using a track pad on our laptop.

With these items we know that we will be able to have a successful start to our school newspaper.
