My Project

Using tents during our FBLA club's community service activities is essential because they provide a designated space for volunteers and community members to gather, making our service efforts more organized and visible.

Teaching young men how to tie neckties is a skill that can build confidence, especially in situations like job interviews where professional presentation is key.

Many students in the community face challenges with access to appropriate attire for such opportunities. This student-led initiative focuses on teaching students this important life skill while providing access to neckties and professional attire. By holding workshops for their peers and other students in the school, participants can help remove a barrier for those unprepared for job interviews or professional events.

This initiative promotes wellness by fostering a sense of readiness and self-esteem among students and encourages young men to be role models for others by demonstrating the importance of preparation and presentation. The materials, such as neckties and other attire, will help the students lead this initiative by giving them the tools to directly support their peers and members of the community.

Ms. Towns Midtown High School Grades 9-12
