My Project

The SEL books will make a significant difference in my students’ learning because they provide valuable tools to help them understand and manage their emotions. For example, books that explore topics like empathy, teamwork, and self-regulation will teach my students how to navigate social situations effectively. Stories featuring characters overcoming challenges or expressing their feelings will also encourage discussions about emotions and foster a supportive classroom environment.

The SEL books will support my students in building vital social and emotional skills.

For instance, I will read a story about handling frustration and then engage the class in a discussion and activities, such as creating “calm-down strategies” charts, to reinforce what they’ve learned.

My goal is to provide my students with engaging visuals that help them better understand and express their emotions, fostering clear communication and emotional growth.
