Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Integrating our new grass rug and our green forest themed light covers into the classroom can encourage students to think outside the box and approach challenges with a fresh perspective.

Our glue gun will help me keep the classroom space and nature theme ever revolving, as I am able to print and post fresh outdoor designs around the room, and even keep up with the seasons as they change!

Last but not least, we are in need of four new classroom tables to replace our current desks, which are unfortunately falling apart. Functional furniture provides a stable and organized workspace for students. New tables will allow our students to work more efficiently, as they can keep their materials organized and have ample space for individual tasks and group activities. This supports better focus and reduces distractions caused by malfunctioning or inadequate furniture.

Upgrading to functional furniture helps create a classroom setting that mirrors the middle and high school learning environments. This transition is important as it prepares our 5th graders for future educational settings where they will encounter more collaborative and flexible learning spaces. Introducing them to this kind of environment now can ease their adjustment and enhance their readiness for future academic challenges.
