Native American Perspective in Our History Library
Help me give my students resources that help them to understand the Native American perspective of American History.

My Students
All of my students are diverse and quirky, focused and energetic, studious and creative. They come from a variety of different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds and circumstances and have a wide range of interests. They're ridiculously well rounded for teenagers!
One of the most exciting thing about my students is how passionately and empathetically they approach their history education.
They have so many questions about the depth of history and have a desire to understand it in all of its complexities.
My Project
Our history library is a key component of our classroom. My students spend a significant portion of the year involved in independent research of one sort or another and the library acts as a jumping-off point when finding topics and resources to explore.
Providing my students with multiple perspectives on American History is one of the main priorities in my classroom.
While we've done a good job of adding books to our library that broaden my students' understanding of history, there is still a large gap in terms of quality resources regarding the Native American experience. This project will help to fill that void!
