Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students' experiences and backgrounds are varied due to cultural, social, economic, and educational differences. My school is a Spanish-English school, and families face numerous challenges and stressors such as trying to navigate a new country and language.
Students come in bright-eyed and ready to learn and deserve the best I can give them.
I need to be that knowledgeable adult who creates a safe and successful learning environment. Playing and learning together helps all of them feel included. My school is a loving community where we, as adults, strive to support our students' individual needs and are always looking for innovative and creative ways to reach and teach all students.
The National PE Institute has national and international caliber presenters, and attracts attendees from all corners of the US as well as internationally.
It is so motivating and inspiring to learn from the best, and make new professional contacts.
I will participate in hands-on activities, technology driven practices, differentiated instruction, and take all this back to school and provide high quality learning experiences for all my students.
