This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a teacher in New Mexico that works with a heavily diverse population of students, all of whom receive free and reduced lunch. I am seeking my National Boards in order to elevate my teaching for my students and the community I serve. I feel that they deserve invested and elite teachers and completing the National Boards Certification accomplishes this endeavor.

I am constantly looking at new ways to innovate, advocate, and effect change in a positive way.

Accomplishing the boards allows me to be present and reflective in my teaching practice as I complete exams, book studies, collaboration, planning, and reflect upon my journey and implications in and outside of the classroom. These funds will have a ripple effect that will impact an infinite number of students by expanding my portfolio as an educator.
