My Students

My students are from Baltimore, MD part of the P-Tech Academy program at Carver. This programs focuses on certifying students in the Information Technology industry while preparing them for the real world. They're enrolled in a dual program where they are able to have an AA degree in 5 years. These are students that have showed interest in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway here at the academy. They are focus-driven in the areas of programming and graphic design.

My Project

Students will create posters of Programming Languages. They will not include the names for the other group will have to figure out which program is being shown. This project will help the students familiarize themselves with the different languages we're using in class. After each program has been identified, students will then vote on the creativity of each project. This project will provoke the students to think outside the box when it comes to programming. The projects will stay up in the class the entire semester. After the semester has ended, students will take posters home to hang up on their walls. This will be a motivator for them when they wake up in the morning to keep pushing when times get hard. The laminator will be used to laminate their 8x11 rough draft sheets after they have been reviewed by the Teacher. After the rough draft of program has been approved, I will then laminate them and have them to put in their programming notebooks. Afterwhich, they will use the Color Pencils and pens to create their program on Posterboard paper.
