Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are special, creative, and passionate. They were the ones who suggested this project. My students have goals that they would like to achieve, and they are determined to learn how to be successful with their nails and talent.

I would like the students to begin to take care of their hands using skin care, etc.

For the first two months, we will focus on doing regular manicures. Some of the students would like to learn how to do manicures, acrylic nails, and gel nails. Some students are thinking of doing this as a trade, some...just for the fun of it. The students will pay attention to the process and the details. They will learn to be patient and wait on people. This will help the students to take their time and be neat about their work.

The students will learn is how to apply acrylic tips, trim and file the tips. The students will learn how to treat the nails and apply nail polish. They will also learn how to do simple French manicures the traditional way, and the easy way, using one of the products that we ordered.

The students will be able to take care of their own personal nails and nails of their friends and family. They will also learn other nail arts or designs and applying gems to the nails as well. This experience will prepare them for doing nail services for customers in the world of cosmetology. We are excited!
