This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items requested for this project will make a significant impact on the learning experience of a small cohort of girls at our tech school by providing them with the tools and supplies to explore nail design in a hands-on, creative way. These young women are proving that they can love technology and still embrace their femininity, showing that the two are not mutually exclusive. By offering a space where they can express themselves through nail art, we are boosting their mental health and confidence, helping them feel empowered and proud of their individuality. Additionally, the skills they develop through nail design have the potential to become entrepreneurial opportunities, teaching them how to turn their passion into profit.

Our goal is to foster a sense of community within this group, allowing the students to support each other, build meaningful connections, and develop business-minded skills as they master their craft.

This project not only encourages creativity but also nurtures the girls’ overall well-being, contributing to their growth as well-rounded individuals. What makes these students special is their passion for embracing diverse interests, showing that girls in tech can thrive in both STEM fields, artistic pursuits, and even entrepreneurial ventures.
