My Project

After a time of learning loss due to the COVID-19 crisis, it is time to help our students become avid readers. I want to encourage them to put their laptops and devices aside and to pick up book after book.We can begin to create interested readers by offering books that peak their interest. Some of our second graders are very interested in mysteries. Cam Jansen books to the rescue!!

Reading mystery novels will develop fluency, while encouraging students to dive into books for fun — the perfect recipe for a love of reading.

It is the road back to normal. I selected Cam Jansen novels with the hope to get the children excited about reading!!

Books help children develop language and listening skills. Maya Angelou once said, “Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.” Our goal is to provide our students with books to build a life long love of reading.
