My Young Entrepreneurs on the Microsoft Office Surface Go!

Help me give my students Microsoft Surface Go and docking station. My entrepreneurs are busy operating their virtual business, setting up sales at trade show networking events; these teach tools give them more marketing opportunities to develop skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school serves almost 500 New York City public school students. Ninety-four percent of the population are minority students. Eighty percent qualify for free or reduced rate lunch. About 30% are students with disabilities and English Language Learners.

We are a school that specializes in business, promotes college and career readiness, offers year-round experiences that include many work related trips, workshops, business based competitions, work-based and service learning opportunities, mentoring, career counseling and internships for all our hard working students including those economically disadvantaged .

My students are hard-working and dedicated and try to take every opportunity to succeed but lack of resources always seems to be an obstacle.

My Project

My students run and operate their own virtual business. They are constantly on the go inside and outside the classroom. In additional to traditional teaching they attend competitive networking events and trade shows around NYC. They meet with potential clients to sell their products. However, lacking resources they are often forced to do things the old fashion way with paper copies.

These technology resources will empower my students.

The Microsoft Office Surface Go with a docking station is ideal for all their marketing needs inside and outside the classroom allowing them to expand their network opportunities and develop 21st Century skills needed to compete in today's ever changing market.
