Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very awesome. They bring a wide variety of skills, abilities and stories into my classroom. We are a Title 1 School located in East Harlem NYC and my students bring diversity to life. They want to do their best and learn for themselves but are often not given the supplies or opportunities to do so.

A quality educational experience will go a long way in ensuring my students will become life long learners and advocate for their future.

My Project

These books will make a difference in my students' learning and improve their school lives by learning that their voice matters. This book is about a girl in their very neighborhood and her journey to self discovery and change.

My students may be young teens, but they can still make a difference, this book will help them advocate for others and find their voice.

It is essential to get the right books into the hands of young people. This is a powerful book that has the potential to show them their worth in our society. With this book, my hope is my students will see just how far they can go.
