This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
During the summer, many students lose up to 2 years of reading growth because they are not able to go to their local library or bookstore to get new books for a home library. Some of the students have never owned a brand-new book of their own. This project will give each student the brand new Dog Man title that they can keep at home to enjoy over the summer.
The Dog Man title is one that is popular with students of all reading levels.
The vivid illustrations and storyboard-like format keep even the most reluctant reader engaged.
