My Students
I teach 22 4 and 5 year old students. I enjoy every moment with my students. In March my students were greatly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. My students are young and really didn’t understand what was really going on. I did distance learning with my students twice a week to let them know that I’m here for them and to help them understand what was going on. My students really enjoyed being able to see me read them books and do different activities with them. I read the book, "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie" to my students, then I actually baked cookies with them using a ClassDojo video. I would love to provide each one of my students with a good book so that they can have a story to read. They can picture read the book or have a family member read the book with them!
My Project
This project will help provide each one of my students with there very own book. My students will enjoy having the very own book at home so that they can read it or have a family member read it to them. Reading is very fundamental. Unfortunately, there are so many students that don’t own a book at home and can only have a book that is borrowed from the media center or the classroom library. It would make my students feel wonderful to have there very own book at home
