This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth grade class of thirty is an energetic, curious, and hardworking group. Coming from diverse backgrounds, my students love to share their culture and what it means to them every day. My students come to school every day ready to tackle the day ahead of them and face any challenges it may bring head-on. Our school embraces the belief that all students can learn; my students show me every single day how determined they are to meet this belief.

My Project

In class every day, students are asked to use a pencil when completing assignments. Whether it be during math class while completing a multi-step word problem, or English-Language Arts and they're writing a draft of an essay, a pencil is the key item to success. Pencils, along with a sharpener to be used for the entire class, will allow students to better focus on completing their work instead of wasting time just trying to find a writing utensil. Students also enjoy completing their work around the room at places that are not just their desk. The use of clipboards allows for students to work where they feel most comfortable.

By donating to our project, you will help me provide pencils and an effective working space to my students all year long!

Students would benefit from having a pencil to be able to fix any mistakes made while working, instead of crossing out and making tons of marks while using a pen. Students will be able to complete assignments in a timely manner, as opposed to not completing the work because they did not have anything to write with. They will be able to use the clipboards to hold their work as they sit across various locations of the classroom.

I need your help to provide pencils and clipboards because mistakes are easier to erase and fix. My students (and myself, of course) would greatly appreciate any help you can give.
