Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Like many teachers, I spend my days with a diverse group of learners. They are from all facets of society, various family structures, personal struggles, and socio-economic situations. I will begin working as a K-2 literacy intervention specialist this coming school year. The students I will work with need additional support after a year of distance learning due to the pandemic.
My Project
After 21 years in elementary education, my workload continues to increase every year. Teaching during this pandemic has dramatically changed everything I thought I knew about being an effective educator. I admit I am overwhelmed and seek your help with professional development.
I would love to participate in a year long professional development program to learn how to be a more peaceful, focused, and balanced teacher so that I can be the effective teacher my students deserve.
Angela Watson's online workshop, The 40-Hour Teacher Workweek is sold on a yearly basis. The next cohort begins in July, 2021. During the next year, I will learn how to implement sustainable management systems, effectively communicate with parents, streamline data analysis and data tracking, maximize instructional time, eliminate time-wasters, streamline technology, strategies for home/work balance, and creating long term goals to continue a balanced life. One year in this club gives me access to all materials for life! Helping me become a better teacher this year will reap benefits far into the future. Please join me in my professional development goal of making my classroom a peaceful, organized learning environment run by a prepared, balanced teacher.
